The Story
Why I built this
I've been coaching grassroots football for over 15 years - first in India, and for the last several years in the UK, where I hold various UEFA and England FA Coaching Licences. These qualifications are the entry point into professional European coaching methodology, and working through it changed how I see youth development entirely.
When I look at Indian football now, I see something genuinely exciting. The ISL has created real professional pathways. Parents are noticing football in a way they weren't 10 years ago. Kids are dreaming about it. But the coaching infrastructure hasn't caught up. Most kids in India are training without age-appropriate methodology. Most parents have no idea what good coaching looks like or how to support their child from the sideline.
Yuva Football is my attempt to close that gap - before I move back to India to open a physical academy in the next five to six years. This platform is the foundation: build trust through free, honest content, and create a community of parents and coaches who take grassroots seriously.
What We Believe
Three things Indian youth football gets wrong.
Fitness before technique
Most grassroots sessions in India start with 30 minutes of laps. UEFA research is clear: before age 12, technical development is everything. Fitness follows naturally when kids move a lot. Structured running before technical competence is wasted time.
Talent over development
Coaches cut "untalented" kids at U10. But talent at age 10 predicts almost nothing about talent at age 16. Age-appropriate development - every child getting the right challenges at the right time - produces far better players than early selection.
Ignoring the parent
Parents are the most underused resource in youth football. What they say on the sideline, how they react to mistakes, whether they create pressure or safety - all of it shapes the player. Coaching parents is as important as coaching kids.
Where This Is Going
A physical academy in India.
This platform is the foundation.
The plan is to move back to India in the next five to six years and open a grassroots football academy built on proper UEFA methodology. Yuva Football is how we build the audience, the trust, and the community before the gates open.
